Tank tender

Anyone know if tank tender valves can be repaired or how they work? On my system Only tank 1 worked. I ran new tubing for tank 2 because tubing had kinks in it. Unfortunately I realized valves are leaking. When I plugged tank 2 tubing into tank 1, gauge worked. I managed to take all the valves out, but cannot really assess good one from the bad. At the moment I managed to find two valves that work okay. But I still have a small leak, very small so it's usable. Click image for larger version

Re: Tank tender

So i narrowed down some of my issues. 2 valves are definitely leaking. Valve itself is pretty customized and might be tough to source. 60-70$ is likely the hit for that.

But tnak tender system uses 1/8" OD push to connect to threaded female adapter at each end. this also appears to be customized. Mcmaster has 1/8" OD tube to 1/8" NPTmale for few bucks. i am almost tempted to source mcmaster first before dishing out the $$$. just need to confirm the thread.

Re: Tank tender

Ive partially torn down Tank Tender valves to clean/lube them and gotten them working again. Dont recall in detail, but wasnt complicted. Either way its quality gear thats well worth fixing even if you spring for new valves.

Re: Tank tender

I figured out the principle of selector/push button valve and how it contributes to small(partial) leak. In a pushed state it selects only that particular tank and pumping pressurizes only that particular tank so you get a Inches reading. But in de-pressed state which is its normal resting state, its suppose to act as a pass-through for the air pressure circuit of another selected "down-stream" valve. However it can leak in this resting state and it then affects the reading in the "down-stream" selector valves. Then multiple leaky valves can compound the reading leakage on all downstream valves.

So it turns out all 6 of my valves do not leak in pressed state where they select their own circuit. I found this out by taking each one of them and using them as the first valve and testing on a known good tank/tubing. But 3 out of 6 leak in the resting state and cannot act a pass-though. That's such a bummer.
I guess I'll call Lisa to see if i can get a new one. If i could somehow figure out how to take the stem fitting out it would help. They seem to be manufactured in-house and therefore impossible to source elsewhere.
