Tapping into 1-1/2” drain

This might be a silly question but I would like to put the brine water drain into my 1-1/2” head sink drain. Do they make a 1-1/2” barbed fitting with a 1/2” T so I can add the 1/2” brine drain to the existing 1-1/2” sink drain? Who makes them if so?

Thanks

Not sure but maybe something like a fitting for a dishwasher drain might work?

Looks like I found it myself…

Yes, it’s PVC. Need one from nylon reinforced PVC or bronze…

Is this above or below the water line?

The head sink drain is just above the waterline where the fitting would be but it goes down to the through hull that is below. When I am healed over, I believe it will be below the waterline.

I tried this once upon a time. It seemed to work just fine until one lady friend decided to rinse out her undies in the sink. This blocked the drain. When she took a shower with the drain plugged, the water siphoned back in when the pump was turned off. Didn’t realized it until I woke up about midnight and stepped into several inches of water.

If you want it in bronze ... build it up from a pipe-T and add the hose barbs and bushings of your choice ... it won't be cheap though

I would add a spout into the sink instead of that T

Oops -- didn't notice is was half inch into one and a half inch.

You can do this at McMaster, but it will take several fittings.

Might not be a problem on your boat, but I bet that trickling brine water will make a bit of noise and at night inside the boat it might be annoying. The sound of dribbling water wakes me up on the boat--I've had bad experiences with it!

I thought of that but have had trouble locating a simple “spout”. They are either faucets or designed for foot pumps, and are very large.

By "brine water drain," would you be referring to the toilet's flushwater intake line?
What is the make/model/approx age of your toilet?

No, brine waste water from my water maker. Not the head.
