Thetford nano electric head

Anyone had any experience with a Thetford Nano electric head? Good, bad, ugly?

Re: Thetford nano electric head

The Nano is just the compact version of the Tecma, which is one of the best electric macerating toilets. It has a very short pedestal, so unless your toilet sits on a raised platform, sitting on it may be like sitting on a compact manual toilet that has the "standard" (small) bowl...in which case you may want to look at a taller version of the Tecma or a different toilet.

Re: Thetford nano electric head

Thanks, Peggie. I do have a pedestal and I need a compact design. Any experience on servicing the unit and availability of parts?

Re: Thetford nano electric head

It shouldn't require much if any service...parts--which should rarely be needed--are available from Thetford...not sure where else.

Tecma toilets are typically a bit more power and water hungry, and a bit noisier, than most others. I have met any Nano owners yet, so I don't know whether that also applies to it. But I'd read the specs very carefully before buying it if power, and holding tank capacity are likely to be an issue.
