Thru hull

Hello,

I will be hauling next week and would like to change a few thru hulls in the process.

Is there a fairly standard size of thru-hulls ?

For example can I assume that the head will be 3/4 in and 1 1/2 out?

how about the galley sink? From what I can remember it looks like it might also be 1 1/2

I am away from the boat right now so I can't take measurements. I would like to order some parts online (which are much cheaper) so that I have some on hand when I get to the boat.

Also, if the thru-hull/seacock is in an enclosed cabinet where nothing could really hit it. Is it still recomended to use the flange type with the 3 thru-bolts?

I will be making fiberglass backing plates as described in the thru-hull primer

Thanks for your help

Thru Hull sizing...

In Oz most thru hulls are sized by the internal diameter of the hose to which they connect.
