Re: Toilet Seat Up

Maybe we could help out the power boaters. I’m sure it could be adapted to the helm for the serious fishermen.

Once we are cruising offshore, it’s totally prohibited to do your business outside and you have to sit down if you don’t want to be the one that cleans the toilet everyday.
Has someone figure out a system that keep the sit up? I wonder what kind of gizmos people has invented…
Thanks,
Sit down, you idiot. No one wants you waving your hose all over the head compartment. Jeez.

Yes, that was harsh, but it's 100% obvious. Why the stand-up fixation? It's not a public restroom. Stand up in my boat (most boats) and I promise it will ALWAYS be your job to clean the head. Every time, whether you had anything to do with it or not.

I agree thinwater...
What could be worse than some poor seasick soul hugging a piss covered toilet as they loose their lunch

I'm just jealous of all you folk with standing headroom in the head compartment, whether it's needed or not.

Re: Toilet Seat Up

I am a Man I do not need to stand when I pee to know that.
I do not need to wave my hardware at my neighbors, I do not want them to wave back.
I do not need the women whom I sail with to feel uncomfortable, I do not need my friends wives to feel uncomfortable
I use the head on my vessel all the time and everywhere.
I will not permit peeing off my transom
I do not permit peeing standing up at night

When you start using the transom it sets a dangerous President.
I insist on men who join me for trips bring a pee bottle for there watches if they have small blatters.
Those of you who pee off the transom or stern how many drill on MOB procedures?
Those of you who pee off the stern AT NIGHT how many of you drill on finding a victim AT NIGHT?
Those of you who do drill on MOB protocols how often do you drill?

I never want to lose someone overboard, not on the best hot windless, waveless day in summer. Get in the water and let your friends try to get back to you with the sails up.

I turned my heads into fresh water systems, I want the water I carry to cycle, that’s how it stays fresh, I sit down a lot, I clean my boats heads, I keep them clean, that’s what this man does.
I have made a seat lock so the seat does not slide out off position when sitting in a heaving sea.

Re: Toilet Seat Up

I sit (mentioned earlier), but I also never felt comfortable peeing off the stern. It always felt a little sketchy.

For this reason, I’ve always peed from the downwind shrouds.

I feel there is next to no danger peeing from there. I lock my leg against one, lock my arm around another and do my business.

I don't have y'alls problems, I stand by the stern, and I merely unroll the johnson until it hits the water, don't need no hands...a twitch of the hip rolls it back up again....sheesh....

Used to do that myself until I saw the front page of the Darwin newspaper.

Re: Toilet Seat Up

It really shows the wide experience of the membership of the cruisers forum at my response to my question. For the members that had constructive answers, I really appreciate their input. For the members who release themselves overboard on open ocean, I wish to hold well to the boat before they become a statistic....
Thanks,
