Send a PM to Tellie, or call him (JT) at Halden Marine Service. He may be able to help.

Not sure if you are still looking, but I have a Sea Recovery Mini-Whisper 350 Water Maker for sale. Never used. Bought it new in 2009 for an event it was never used for in Long Beach. I purchased it brand new through Parker in Carson and they are still there if you need their contact information. I paid over $13.5 for everything needed to hook it up and only asking $9500. They cost $11.5k for the main unit alone today. If you are interested you can reach me here jeff at quanifi dot org or 619.305.9310 - Blessings, Jeff

Re: ultrawhisper 200 Sea recovery

The round ETD was made for Sea Recovery by Eco-Sistems. Their site seems to be having issues, but seal kits can be ordered from export@eco-sistems.com

I bought one last year for our HRO (same system) for around $150.

Re: ultrawhisper 200 Sea recovery

This isn't a How To video, but starting at 1:00 I roughly show the breakdown of the ETD.

Really, it's a very simple and logically laid out system for DIY rebuild. No special tools needed and most screws and parts have only one direction they can be inserted.

Good luck,

Matt

Re: ultrawhisper 200 Sea recovery

My Ultra Whisper is somewhat noisy(!) and all the pressures are lower than when new. I have had advice to dump the ETD and get a high-pressure pump instead.
Does anyone know of how to do this (best pump, etc) - or should I try changing the seals first? 3 years ago it was checked by an expert, and had performed quite well with just slow deterioration, which now has reached a point where I want to fix things before the NZ summer.

Re: ultrawhisper 200 Sea recovery

Keith , first of all ,review the pressure of lower presión pump ,it need to be above 50 psi.If it's correct replace all the ring's and valves of the tubular ETD and check the pressure .It need to be over 800 psi to pass the membrane .Finally check and clean the membrana .
Above of this forum have the address to get spares .Eco-sistems .It was very useful for me .
Regards and luck

My ultra whisper 400 is producing its rated output of 17 GPH at only about 480psi system pressure. I spoke with Sea Recovery and the tech wasn’t worried about the pressure because the unit demands the pressure necessary to produce its rated output and since that constraint is being met, there’s no need for more pressure. My CAT feed pump is new and its output is only 90psi rather than the 130psi that the manual mentions. But, the Watermakers output is what it’s supposed to be and when I turn it on it only takes about 2 seconds for the salinity detector to decide the water is potable. I don’t know why it’s able to output its rated flow rate at only 480psi system pressure but I suspect it has something to do with the cold temperature of the water and its salinity.

Re: ultrawhisper 200 Sea recovery

remember is a physical process and not chemical .Do you need enough pressure to force the solution trough the membrane .Check if it's the appropriate membrane and probably is due to a low water salinity .Are you in a lake ?
