It was thoughful enough to freeze once more and I had a chance to test again. As Sherlock Holmes said, when you have eliminated all other possibilities, the one that remains must be the explanation.

So I'm convinced that it's the motor, sufficiently convinced to order a new one. Of course I can't just get the motor, it's part of an upgrade package including a new pump bellows and some other stuff. Oh well, if the upgrade is as good as they say it is, it's worth doing (and paying for).

Especially since the other option is not using the toilet.

Keep the motor and tear down. It’s at least a learning experience. You might even succeed in making a spare.

Yep, I go along with that. Especially since I realized that the motor has a little gearbox attached to it - now I'm curious which bit is jamming.
