Vapor lock in HVAC

Pretty sure I have a vapor lock in the raw water line on my Dometic 9k HVAC. Thruhull is open, unit runs, but no overboard discharge. Boat just went back into the water after a warm winter in the hard. So the question is- how to clear the vapor lock?

Re: Vapor lock in HVAC

It’s not a vapor lock, you just have air in the seawater pump.

Option 1. Pull the discharge hose off of the pump and wait for water to trickle out. Reattach hose and turn on ac.

Option 2. Put a garden hose in the discharge fitting and force water backwards through the system. Once the pump is full of water turn on the ac.
