Village Marine Membranes

Village Marine uses non standard size membranes and wants $500 for 1.

Does any one know where to buy a 38" x 2.5" membrane at the more usual cost of the 40" membranes which $200 -$250

thanks

If no one knows could you just replace the whole housing and membrane? By the way, just for refernce one 40" membrane will make close to 25 gal per hour... so you may only need a short one....

Take a look at the difference between the I and the L measurement here. I suspect that is the difference between the 38" and 40" you are seeing. Scroll down to Seawater elements:

No they they use a particular membrane thats 2" shorter 38" overall and thats how they get to charge $500 rather than using the generic membrane
