Watermaker issue

One quick question and I’m afraid I already know the answer....
I have a DIY system with two new Dow 2540 membranes. Upon replacement I can’t get good product water after running for an hour. I only have a conductivity meter and it’s pegged.
All I can figure is I messed up an O ring installing the membranes?

TIA

Duncan

Re: Watermaker issue

Is there any chance you are dumping the good water and testing the bypass water, maybe an error in reassembly?

Re: Watermaker issue

Can you test product off each membrane separately?

Re: Watermaker issue

I did replumb almost everything adding a more compact control panel. I will recheck my work .

Great suggestion about isolating each membrane for testing! Back ASAP with those results.

Thx

Re: Watermaker issue

Great solution!
One membrane is OK , the other one, not OK.
Thank you for cutting my job in half!

Duncan

PS. We’re all geared up (almost)for Desolation Sound.
When are you opening that border?

Re: Watermaker issue

I wanted to report a happy ending to this saga.
One membrane had a pinched O ring in the end cap.
So this was resolved for $1.59
Luckily I work cheap

Thanks for the help.
