Watermaker Membrane Question

Hello all,

I'm hoping that someone might be able to identify the type of Membranes I need for this chamber.

The black portion of the chamber measures 21 3/8" the chamber inside the blocks measures 23 3/16" and connecting end to connecting end measures around 25" (I think these are the connecting ends of the Membrane, but not sure)

Looks like a standard 20" x 2.5" membrane housing to me.

Building your own watermaker or repairing an old one you just bought? Either way you're going to need a bit of advice. A standard 21" membrane is measured below. If the old membranes are still inside the vessels that is what you really need to measure to be sure. If not the measurements need to be made from the inside end of one end cap to the opposite inside of the other end cap. It's a good chance that these are 21" membrane vessels but you want to make accurate measurements before you invest in three new membranes.

Yep, I just took one of membranes out of the chamber and it is indeed a 21". Looks almost identical to the picture. The membrane is made by Koch Membrane Systems.

Any recommendations on a replacement? Is DOW Filmtec the best?
My system operates at about 60 bar.

Dow Filmtec is the universal standard for RO membranes and DF membranes can be sourced inexpensively (eg $150 for 40 x 2.5 inch) if you shop the net.

Found the Filmtec for $168 at Pure Aqua Inc. in CA, but they don't take credit cards..
