Weak Freshwater Pressure

I replaced my freshwater pump and now have fluctuating cold water pressure any ideas?

I have a Caliber 40 with a Jabsco belt driven pump that feeds a 1 gallon accumulator tank. This should prevent me from seeing the fluctuations but none the less they exist. I thought maybe air was in the system but that doesn't seem to be it...

Re: Weak Freshwater Pressure

Your accumulator tank could be waterlogged. There should be air trapped in the top half. If the tank is completely full of water, the system acts like there is no accumulator tank. Some tanks have a rubber diaphram that separates the water from the air. I can't remember if there is a diaphram in the Jabsco tank or not. If there is, the diaphram might have failed. A quick look at the Jabsco web site should let us know.

Re: Weak Freshwater Pressure

had a similar problem and found a bubble of air in my pump..... check that first. if is sudden onset, prolly isnt accumulator tank. check for bubbles then move along the line.
