Winter service electric toilet

Hi all. We have a fresh water electric toilet. Last time we put her to bed I just dried the bowl out completely. It turned out to be 2.5 years left shut up. Had to replace the joker valve on return. I did read somewhere electro toilets should receive some more attention before a long lay up. Can anyone advise?
