Andersen Winch

Hello

Does anybody know if there is any other el. Motor which fits on the Andersen 46 Winches.
The original one is 1000$ i find that a bit much.

Best regards
Lagoon

If you have a cnc milling facility, you can manufacture a base yourself and modify a motor and gearbox to suit. The tolerances are +-0.03mm/20degC which is easy enough. Getting a motor to fit is slightly more of a task, but it might be do-able though, but the gear-hobbing will be a distinct challenge. If you have a machine-shop, it's worth a try, but I suspect that the problems might outweigh the utility.
I've just had a run-in with the electric conversion kit for a 52ST, and it was supplied as a kit with the winch straight from Denmark. The workmanship and precision inside Andersens is quite impressive, and the "intolerance" it has for sloppy installation was startling: just a slip of the hand when the winch was commissioned cost about 4 hours of time to rectify some ignorance. Moral of the story? "BE VERY CAREFUL!"
