LOL WK. I'll try to be a little harsher next time.

Replacement parts are on order, 2 nicer used CS Johnson toggle jaw turnbuckles and a NOS 1/4-28 LH toggle jaw to replace the broken one.

If I use the jib halyard to lift, should I be concerned about the 40-year-old sheave? The boat is more of a 'big little boat' so the hardware seems a bit on the light side. The sheave on the main halyard looks good (good sized and part of the casting for the mast cap) but the topping lift and jib seem a little light, both in the sheaves and strapping used to attach to mast.

Seeing the size of that hardware for the jib halyard, I’d be tempted to leave the heavy lifting to the forstay and use the job halyard to support the mast once vertical while attaching the stay.

Thanks Sailmonkey. I think I'd better add some compatible sheaves or blocks to the spares list. Along with clevis pins and turnbuckles...
