Can't Find this Shackle - Please Help !

Hello Mates,

I am hoping someone might have an idea were I would find this life line shackle.

It's on a french boat so the threads are metric. Attached is a Photo.

It's called a pelican hook or shackle, usually used for running stays.

Here is a link to west marine website where they have some. Basically any marine store or rigging professional can get you one.

Googled metric pelican hooks. Appears that Wichard makes them.

Do you need a source for Wichard products?

Jon, I have a spare one on my boat, distance is a bit of a problem but if you're stuck let me know. I think the thread bit is either 8 or 10mm from memory. New they are about $30 which is a shocking price but we could sort something out.

Thanks everyone, looks like I'll be able to find something from the links you all provided We're in Roatan right now, but I'm headed to the states the end of July. Thanks for the offer Pete! Typical of the great folks we keep meeting as we cruise and meet all the people in this "Gang" of adventuresome stock.
