Do you know what this knot is called

I recently messed around with slip knots and ended up with this knot.
To be clear, I never tied it before not have come across it elsewhere.
It works very well on slippery high tech lines.
I've used it to hang large shade nets at my house, and it has not come loose, yet I'm able to release it even after it's been under serious load.
Can anyone tell me what its called?

Hi Roverhi.
It's like a bustline, but not the same.
I notice the pictures were not posted in the right sequence.
Pic 2 is the final step before cinching the knot tight.

Re: Do you know what this knot is called

I recognize this knot. Similar to one I end up with occasionally. Its called the Dipsy doodle over under mongeloid half bowline geezer with a twist bowline not. I'm proud to claim invention of this fine not tieing my shoes in 1954 or so. Happy sailing, potbellypirate

It looks like a fisherman's knot on a bight. Technically I think it actually might be a Fisherman's knot and what most people call a fisherman's knot is actually a Double Fisherman's knot.

Double overhand noose? I'm having trouble following it. 3 and 4 don't look like the same knot.

Looks very similar to ABOK #1120, #1121 and #1122, only "two-fold", not "three-fold"

Bowline looks a lot nicer, and this seems to be more like a noose.

Re: Do you know what this knot is called

Thankfully my shoes finally wore off 1956 or so. I've found Velcro to work well for shoes but I got frustrated with my Velcro mooring lines etc. so went back to my dipsydoodleoverundermongaloidhalfbowlinegeezerwith atwist not. I haven't lost any more shoes but lost 28 boats before switching from Velcro back to DDOUMHBGWAT not. I can' use boat but sit on it and drink rum a lot . Maybe try the Velcro one more time. Maybe super-glue? Worked pretty good but made feet smell strange and made it hard to chase those damned kids away from my boat.I think they wanted to steal my shoes! Here they come again! Hey! Little girl! I own a candy store! No of course knot! Shiver me timbers. Arrg Damned parrot! Right on my shoulder! potbellypirate

Re: Do you know what this knot is called

Here are the photos in the right sequence.
With Amsteel rope the knot comes loose even after significant prolonged tension, and yes, it is a noose or slip knot.
If you "break apart" the two adjacent (is bights the right word) in the last picture, the knot is easy to unravel.

Re: Do you know what this knot is called

It's a funny way to tie a round turn and two half-hitches. Like there's an extra tuck in the fourth frame. Give it whatever name you like. If it works, use it.
