DP CS LS

Dimension Polyiant Carbon Sport Lite Skin sounds/looks like the perfect sail for the racer/cruiser or the cruiser/racer. Anyone have real world experience with CS LS?

Re: DP CS LS

Don't just explore the fabric, explore whether DP will stand behind it. I would use the words "somewhat limited" from my experience. I think it is fair to conclude their primary customer are lofts and what happens after that is not their primary focus even if they take on a fiduciary role in the transaction.

Re: DP CS LS

Perfect in what way?

Personally I don't see the point in CS, mixing carbon ribbons and polyester, other than trying to sell something "fancy" at a cheap price. Technora is a far better supporting fiber for carbon and GPL has been a good fabric for many years. But in saying that a good membrane sail has a lot better shape holding. Companies are starting to offer liteskin or equivalent skin on membranes which offers more durability but more weight than film. Its not as durable or as heavy as Taffeta's which are the normal for cruising laminates. In my opinion the liteskin seems suitable for club racers who want to get some more durability out of their sails without to much extra weight.
