Fuji 40 Mast Height

I know that the "L" dimension of my Fuji 40 is just over 52 feet. My understanding is that a conservative measurement of the distance from the water to the top of the mast, for bridge clearance purposes, could be made by measuring from the toe rail to the water and adding that measurement to the "L" dimension.

Could folks confirm this?

Thank you!

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Michael.

I don't think that's a very good idea.

You might contact the designers, Sparkman & Stephens Yacht Design, Naval Architects, Yacht Sales and Yacht Charters , asking for the designed “air draft”.

I meant "I" dimension. But your reply holds, good advice, thank you. The folks at S&S have been helpful related to another query.

Fair winds!
