Furler problem

Was reloading furler for spring with sail and missed that the foil was not connected to drum tightly. Had a hard time pulling last 4 feet and brute forced it. Now it looks like I must have jammed the top because it will not rotate. I have rigger coming out 21st to look at it. This is an older Balmar rig on a 29' boat so my questions are any thoughts on how bad I might have messed up or if I should just bite the bullet and go for a new unit???
