Furlers

I致e just bought a UFO 34 I知 in the process of fitting new rigging
the boat had a profurl system on it which was pretty tired I致e started to fix the old fuller but I知 thinking it might be smarter to get a new one
I知 interested to see what you guys think would be the best furler for this boat
I知 also thinking to change the wheel out for a tiller which would give me much better access to winches and main sheet
Your thoughts ?

Re: Furlers

Tillers take up less space, but do give you more feedback to handle, which can be tiring if she's out of balance and pulling into the wind. Since a tiller is your backup means of steering when you have a wheel, can you give it a try and see if you like it for your boat without completely eliminating going back to the wheel?

Re: Furlers

Thanks for your input sounds like profurl is the way to go I only started looking because I heard that the previous owner lost the forstay due to some problem with the profurl
I may have got it wrong
Thing I値l give the tiller a go like you said can always go back to the wheel I do think it would be very difficult to single hand with the wheel
