Halyard Wrap

Two young men living aboard a sweet 30' sloop. One of them is a working artist. The other constantly painting, polishing and working on the boat. They put the sails up every few days.

When asked to look at their halyard wrap issue, I was 100' away and could see the swivel was 4' below the top of the foil and the halyard wrapped twice.

What I saw that made this worth mentioning was that the halyard was also wrapped into a tight ball of 8 wraps or more on the toggle above the furler. Yet somehow they had been using it.

Looking for another pretty place to work on the boat.
