Headsail conversions

Can traditional headsails be converted to roller furling

Nearly all of them can be converted to furl in and out (100% furl). If the sail is rather flat it may very well get converted.

However, if you want to have a nice sail that furls down to any % and is still usable (thinking mostly of upwind use) you may opt for a new sail designed to be furled up.

Show your sail to your sailmaker.

The mitre of the sail effects how it rolls. Most traditionally cut sails can be used with roller furling
