Laser 2 main halyard
I have an old Laser 2. The main halyard is a wire-rope combo and I hate it. The wheel at the top of the mast is a full circle shape and seems to accommodate both the wire and line fine. Are there any disadvantages to me replacing this system with one rope? And why do these boats have wire-rope combos to begin with?
