Lewmar 46 Winches

HI All,I have older Lewmar 46 self tailing winches on my F375.The Lewmar webpage says sheet size 8-14 mm,however sheet still slips.Anyone feel that going with new sheets at 18mm will cause a problem?????Thks in advance.brgds N

are you using 9/16(14mm) or the 5/16 (8mm) sheets now? I could see the 8mm or even 10mm slipping. Do you have a piece of the larger on the boat? put it on there and see what you think.
