Lewmer ST43 replacement.

Good morning,
I have Lewmar 43 standard winches and thinking about to replace to self-tailing winches.
43 # is old, is 45ST is the equvalent to 43?
Thank you,

Re: Lewmer ST43 replacement.

The 45ST is part of their EVO series. The Ocean series ST winches are their more classic line, which they make in a 44 and 46 I believe. All of those would be a suitable replacement for your 43.

Re: Lewmer ST43 replacement.

There are some new 50ST on ebay right now. The price it right.

I bought a pair and that is the only connection I have with the seller.

They might be too large but then again large winches are nice.

I installed a pair of Andersons last spring, I don't think I'd look at another brand currently unless the price was really right, they replaced Lewmars.

Re: Lewmer ST43 replacement.

Have you considered the Pontos 4-speed winches? Very cool set-up and you can get more power out of your smaller winch area. Have a look at the video here:

Re: Lewmer ST43 replacement.

Looking, 43, but there is no 43, maybe 45?
40 is kind of small. 43 is older #.
