Have you looked at the masthead systems of RR Electronics, as used by Halberg-Rassys? They use a single antenna system with one (sometimes 2) coax cables for VHF, cellular, AM-FM, HF receive and LF (Navtex) receive. They als have the windex on the antenna whip. There are electronics at the MH with power fed up the coax.
Be wary of LED globes - test them first as some do create interference to VHF.
Having VHF at the masthead will give you continuous coverage across Bass Strait - well worth having.

For AIS - if the cable run is over 50' a vhf antenna splitter won't work - you will need a second antenna.

Not true. I can’t speak from anything but my personal experience: Our Vesper has a 98’ cable with a splitter. Works like a charm on our Lagoon 421.

Mine works fine over 100’. A vesper also.
