messenger lines

Any ideas on how to install a messenger line to a spreader without going up the mast? My previous line disintegrated. Tks for any creative ideas!

If just over the spreader, tie the line to a tennis ball and toss it.

If through a small block on the spreader, the. You're headed up the mast.

Hire Peter Pan, either to use some magic to fix it, or he can sort it out via his ability to fly
Best I got.
