Re: Mystery hole in sail

It looks like a cigarette burn to me. Flicking ash, or flicking a butt carelessly. Any smoking going on around your sails?

Re: Mystery hole in sail

One more for the light bulb burn. Older (90's) BMWs were notorious for it. They had these fancy plastic shields that fell off (melted probably), then all hell broke out in the boot (boot = Australian name for trunk). The best bit was then playing "Connect 4" with the fault display system.

Re: Mystery hole in sail

I'd go with a light bulb in the boot/trunk too. I once had a hole burnt in a nylon suitcase while the boot lid was open for a few minutes and the interior light came on. Of course you don't notice it at the time because the item is blocking the light.
