please help me identify this furling system

hello, I acquired this furling system from a salvaged sailboat and hope to resurrect it but am having a hard time identifying it. It was on a ferrocement sailboat that came from south africa about 20 years ago. Anyone have any ideas as to the manufacturer?

Looks like very similar to the ancient Hyde Streamstay, or worst a old Goiot,,, if there is solid rod inside its probably a Hyde.

I'm not familiar with the brand but it looks like a really ancient continuous line furler. Might have come off the Mayflower 😎

Its not a Hyde. They didn't have that continuous line thingy, but rather a conventional drum.
