Re-Masting / Re-Rigging an Old Mast

Ok... I've probably bitten off more than I can chew.

The task is pretty simple: rehabilitate a mast, plug/rejoin mast sections, prepare rigging for the boat it will go on and hoist and attach it to the boat.

Simple, right?

So many things I have no clue about.

First, I can't even identify the mast. I've got a picture of the foot that has a serial number on it (I think), but that's all I have to go off of:

Before I even get into the other details, I ran into some corrosion and I'm wondering if it's even worth the bother:

After that, here's the standard issue of making sure you have all the bits and pieces to make the rigging happen; currently it's missing a mast foot, four spreaders (two sets), foils for the roller furler, a deck sleeve (keel stepped) and there are a few bits and pieces that will need to be corrected, crimped wire to mast toggles that were cut. If anyone knows where I can get mast arms the fit the following profile, please let me know:

Next, there's the issue of getting the mast joined. I count of eight rivet holes per side and another eight screws on the sail slide side of the profile:

The rivet holes seems to be a little under 8mm; I'll probably drill them out ever so slightly to take the next size rivet up:

Speaking of rivets, what sort of equipment do I need for this job?

I suspect I need to invest in/rent a pneumatic rivet gun. These seem to be blind rivets, but I have no idea if I should use stainless steel or brass or whatever these are.

Mast foot (single slot through the middle; about 14.3cm):

Random stuff in the middle (stainless wire running through a couple of pulleys (running back stays or spinnaker pole lifts?):

This mast is a bit larger than the one it will be replacing, so I'm really anxious to get this right:

The boat that this will be going on had rod rigging (emphasis on *had*), so I'm also looking for the deck shroud attachment points, turn buckles and whatnot (no pictures of that unfortunately).

Any observations or suggestions would be vastly appreciated.

You can buy a pneumatic rivet gun from Harbor Freight quite cheap. A real blessing if you are going to do more than a few rivets and have a source of compressed air.

The corrosion looks nasty. Would bet that is the reason the mast was not on its boat. May work but it's more than a small dent or a few holes that could be ignored. Might want to get a rigger to look at it. If you can figure out the manufacturer and they are still around, might think about cutting that section out, sleeve it and rejoin the mast.
