Redoing Teak in lays

I have a Beneteau 473. In my cockpit and swim platform I need to replace the teak. One of them recently came loose and it seems it is a solid sheet that was glued down. Does anyone know where you can get a replacement for it. Ideally I just want to buy replacement sheets and glue them in.

I did find PlasTeak on line. Has anyone used it? (https://www.plasteak.com/)

Not familiar w/the inlay on your swim platform. Do you have a picture?

Is the teak piece still intact? Could it be glued back down or be used as a template to make another (if it isn't too intricate)?

Your best bet might be to contact Beneteau and find out from them what company supplies their teak decking. (It would be nice if it matched the other decking already on the boat, no?) If you get something different, when you go to sell the boat people will notice, assume something is wrong with it, and want a price reduction.

Re: Redoing Teak in lays

I have a Beneteau 46 and just completed a teak overhaul. I replaced about 6-8 pieces in the process. I took a damaged slat to a specialty wood shop and they replicated two 8 ft strips for me. I then cut them to fit. With a little sanding and new caulking I was happy with the finished product. Click image for larger version

Contact TDS - teak decking systems. They make teak deck replacements in that single-sheet (slats glued to a backing) form factor.
