Roll-Genoa too long over forestay

Hi brothers in arms,
had a chance to acquire almost new roll-genoa for a bargain price but its length over the forestay is too long for some 15-20cm (6-8in) to get it tight.
In order to avoid resewing of the entire bottom apparently either eyelet ring of the sails head or/and tuck must be moved but that would weaken reinforcement/s + decrease tightness of the leach or/and foot.
Another idea is to install additional ring (additional reinforcement required anyway) at the bottom of genoa and tighten with kind of cunningham. But that doesn`t seem rational.
Are there any alternative solutions you would propose?

Guys, you are cruel!
ok, probably you are right, I`m expectiong wonders.
probably most logical solution is just to reshape entire bottom of the sail and move tuck upwards.
ehhh.... but how about wonders?))

I don't see any way to make this work with the roller furling other than shortening up the bottom of the sail. But seems that will require extensive re-design.

Cut off top 8 inches of the sail and install a head plate instead. Head plate similar to what you would have on the main.

If you redo the bottom, 6 inches to take out and add 6” of sacrificial cloth to add inso when is rolled. The shape is compromised either way you go.
If you take 6” from the top the you have to deal with Leach.
Take it to a sail loft for an opinion and a quote

If you use a head plate at top, the leech will be tight. Look at racing sails. Not unusual setup.

Hmmm. Head ate might be challenge furling. Boats I've seen it on had hanks or non furling foil.

..but what if not the plate at the top but instead shortened top with two rings both connetced (equally loaded) to hallyard?

A big head plate or two rings won't roll up either. The adjustment has to be at the bottom.

A big head plate or two rings on halyards won't roll up either. The adjustment has to be at the bottom. Have you gotten a quote from a sailmaker for fixing the sail? It shouldn't be too horrendous - hundreds, not thousands.
