Sailomat 5000

Hi everybody,

I am new to this cruiser forum and I am not a native English speaker, so.... That said, here is my question: I recently bought an Explorer 45 from the late canadian designer Stan Huntingford. This boat was equiped with a sailomat 5000 windvane, which is completely dissassembled. Unfortunately I do not have the installation/setup manual and sailomat neither ( which is surprising). Therefore I am desperatly looking for this manual and if someone were having this manual and could send me a copy or if someone could give me a lead as to where to find it, I would be most greatfull.

I went to the Sailomat website and they do not list a model 5000. The site goes through the history of their vane design and they mention a 500 but have no pictures or description of it. They do have drawings, though not very detailed, of a 536 series vane. Looks like a pendulum servo vane very similar to all the P/S vanes that they have built. Have you tried to contact them for inforamation on the vane???
