Source for aluminum 1"x14 nipples

I'm looking for 1"-14 threaded antenna mounts. I am intending to weld them to an aluminum bar to reduce electrolysis. I Looked everywhere and I can't find. My options seem to be have a machinist make one.

There are stainless mounts and plastic mounts. Not sure why there are no aluminum mounts?

Thanks

Just buy a piece of 1" dia aluminium tubing and a 1"-14 die and make your own.

Are you looking for something with a flange?

Or just a threaded stud to weld onto your base?

Probably not available because they would degrade quite quickly?

Tapered vs straight. Prolly will work, but not for a purist.

i Just had a "DOH!" moment. yep 100% and the local aluminum supplier has both 1" 6061 aluminum tube and 3/4" 6061 aluminum pipe. ironically i had been on that site multiple times in the last several days working out an pipe/tube solution that will fit 1.5" conduit. should have totally put this together myself lol.

When i posted this originally i was only planning on making a nipple to weld on to a bracket on the mast head. although i had been looking for a bolt on solution to mount antennas on the spreaders. had a complicated compresison tube thrubolt contraption in my head. was still trying to figure out how to make a curved mounting plate for the top of the spreader, but haven't really gotten to any of that to move forward on the spreaders yet.

the 3/4" pipe reminded me it would be fairly easy to drill a hole through the spreader to fit the pipe, weld it in place with small disks on both sides to spread the loads a bit, thread the pipe after and i have an easy, strong double mount with no electrolosis later. this would mount an antenna on top and underneath the spreader.

Re: Source for aluminum 1"x14 nipples

Use 3/4 " ID 6061 pipe-cut it to your choice of length.

Have 2" of 1" x 14 NPT cut on it using a pipe threader.
The first inch of thread will be the 1" x 14 straight (parallel) thread that you need.
Made hundreds of these over the years-work fine.- 6061 does not corrode in salt water environment.

Cheers/Len
