Spinlock Clutches

My clutches after about 5 years are now slipping. XTS model anything I can do to rectify??

I had a couple at the mast. I took them down and sprayed with a little soap (simple green) and soaked them in fresh water overnight. Then I hosed them down with lots and lots of fresh water. After that they worked like new. That was 5 years ago. I don't know what was wrong but suspected salt deposits.

Can't be salt I am in fresh water but maybe dirt has accumulated although hard to see where ????

Have a look at the teeth on the cam. If the clutches have been used to "surge" lines, or even just normal wear and tear, they may be worn and rounded, and not grip the line as when new. You can buy replacement parts, and while kinda dear, they are cheaper than whole new units.
