Suggested Riggers in Southwest Florida?

Well, I have painted myself into a corner.

The epoxy is out right now and a bunch of measurements need to be done on the boat.

I can’t go anywhere near the boat.

Probably me working with my helper would maybe be able to get these measurements right. Maybe. But this is something I might need a professional for.

Does anyone know of a rigger or someone with really good experience that could come out and measure my chain plate location and angles? Also my rudder hydraulic cylinder locations?

I’m sure we will need more services as time goes on from this person as well. But for now, angles for the shrouds and forestay and bend in the chainplates and stuff.

People from Sarasota to Naples might make the most sense.

SSMR Rigging in St. Pete is a well-respected outfit that has been around for a long time.

They rerigged my boat three years ago. Very good job. On time. Reasonable price. Although they did try nicely to upsell me on some improvements that were not required for my type of sailing.

All of the rigging is made in house. If you are nearby, they have a dock with a crane that makes life easy for them and reduces your costs.

I second The Yacht Riggers in St. Petersburg. Did a great job for us at quoted price, on schedule and professional.

I use Gulf Coast Rigging in the Charlotte Harbor area and was was very satisfied. 941-661-2611.
If the boat must come out used the Charlotte Harbor Boat Storage facility for the best prices.

I already have that. Skin absorption can kill me. Dust on my clothing can kill me. There’s no way I’m going on boats that have active epoxy projects going on.

I got the measurements. But still need the Riggers for a little bit later with the running rigging.
