Sym Spinnaker 'Tacker'

I only have flown my sym spinnaker once. Loved the performance/speed increase. But I didn't really like having to mess around with rigging the pole etc. I have a "tacker" sleeve for the spinnaker that fits around the rolled headsail that I can attached the spinnaker to instead.

Who has used one of these with a sym spinnaker? Does it work? Does it effect the angle you can run off the wind?

Given enough time I'm going to use everything that thge last owner figured was having spent money on, which came with the boat (except maybe the Tallboy).

No experience of this system, but I thought I'd pitch in anyway.

My thoughts would be:

If the symetrical is a skinny shouldered reacher, then the sail shape should be OK and gybing should by a similar exercise to gybing an Asymetrical

If the symetrical is a broad shouldered runner, then it will cause a lot of heeling, the sail shape will not be good and the luff will be difficult to control - just like when you go pole forward and try to reach with a running kite.

There are two concerns that I'd have with this system:
1. chafe on the headsail
2. Substantial point load on the forestay
