Dockhead is right. Adjustments going upwind are the first priority. Get someone who is knowledgable to sail with you.
And check if the max draft can be pulled forward of 50%-40%. If not, you will be healing more than moving forward and need recut or new sail.

Sailing with well cut sails is much more effective and pleasurable than not.

Actually max draft should be forward of 50% at about 40%.
