UK Sails opinion requested

I need a new main and I am considering any of UKs top 3 cruising sails.

Carbon Titanium, Carbon Tape, or the CXI

If anyone is using one of these can you share your thoughts?

Thanks

Re: UK Sails opinion requested

I had a tape drive sail (UK Sails made) on one of the boats I sailed. It was a high aspect jib, similar to what is sometimes called a 'blade' jib. That sail was possibly the best ever considering the shape and workmanship/finish quality. It worked very well diving the boat heaps of drive and very little heel.

If I could afford them, I would not hesitate to look at what they offer and keep them at the very top of my short list.

I have spent some part of my life working with a different sail making company of the top tier. So my advice from this point is not just to follow the brand (and UK Sails is a great brand) but actually to go into the loft where the sail will be build and have a look. There are lofts, and lofts, and lofts ... even within one and good company it is ultimately all up to who builds the sail. Look for reliable and experienced team/loft.

Cheers,
b.

If you are on the East Coast, you should call Mack Sails in Stewart, FL.
