US made Standing Rigging

Where do you buy Standing rigging that is made in the US or other reputable countries, that have quality standards?

Re: US made Standing Rigging

I just bought all new standing rigging from Sailing Services in Florida. Large rigging shop, good quality.

I could get rigging here in Panamá, but specifics on their wire were a bit vague.

Rigging Only is a very popular one. And you might check with Loos, or see who the recommend.

Most SS wire is made in Korea. Their standards are quite high and should be no problem. China is another story. The Chinese can and do produce good stuff it's just figuring out what is good and what isn't.

I have always found Jimmy Green as: https://www.jimmygreen.co.uk/product...dyform-rigging

to be very competitive and knowledgeable, their web site easy to use and post internationally

Just did a 47 with Dyform wire

Cheers Steve

I suggest North East Rigging Systems, LLC, www.nerigging.com. They sell quality 316 wire and ship just about anywhere. Located in New England, USA. Just rerigged my 41 ft ketch with their wire.

I'd also recommend purchasing from a large, stable US firm - I.e. a suitable counter party in case you do have a problem later. Suitable to me means US HQ and large. Others will disagree with that choice but I view counter party as part of the value proposition from West Marine.

If you are having a vendor install the rigging then ask them the share the original packing slips from the supplier with you.
