what is this called and where can I get one.

I am attaching a picture of a piece that I need to replace and I don't know it correct name. I am also having a hard time finding a replacement( maybe because I am not using the right names lol). It is and end piece of a spinnaker cart system. Kind of like a traveler. The spinnaker pole goes attached to a cart and the track system raises and lowers the spinnaker pole along the mast. The part goes on the end of the track has a sheave for the a line and a bolt in front of the sheave to eye splice the line as well.

end sheave or end pulley for the spinnaker pole track.

(no I don't really know; that's just my best guess)

What is ailing that one- just beat-up or pinching the sheave? It looks very specialized.

Indeed it appears to be an end piece or a pulley block for an adjustable spinnaker car system.

Do you know the manufacturer of your system? Does it fit on does it fixture to the side of the track or on the end of the traveller rack? I believe it is the second system of the two distinct systems pictured below.

Thanks for the info. I think I can make the Barton track end work.

Cheek block.

The one shown has a contoured base specifically for mounting the front side of a mast but you can use a generic cheek block and mount it directly or use a contoured wood or plastic pad under it.

Yeah. I had to dive into my old Harken and Ronstan catalogs to find that term.

The Ronstan catalog had one cheek block whose mounting screws pass through the sheave axle and the fixed point, so it could be quite possible to remove the existing sheave and face, grind the top flat, and mount that sort of cheek block in its place.
