For the record, I really was asking about dorades and looking for possible solutions to create more deck space.

You just have to be ready for some heckling, trolling, jeering and generally silly responses.

Diamonds can be found in almost every post, though. Even the salty ones.

When and if they are removed the covers are screwed in from the top of the deck, not the interior. The SS tube stop the sheets from fouling on them and ripping them off. You can remove them and install the Vetus vents you mention if you like but it's hard to beat a good Dorado system. In most cases the screw covers will be part of the boats inventory. The PSC is not everyone's cup of tea but they are a well designed boat for the intended purpose.
