Winch grease

I tried this on another post with no reply, maybe a stupid question?
But I’m good for those. I am rebuilding an old winch with plastic bearings, does it need grease or just light oil? I know with metal bearings you need grease just never rebuilt one with plastic bearings,

Grease on bearings, oil on pawls.

Harken Radial? A little vague. Also rather ugly to take apart. Yuck.

"Use a brush to lightly lubricate all gears, gear pins, teeth and all moving parts with grease.
Lightly lubricate the pawls and springs with oil. Do not use grease on the pawls!"

Wash after every use... like that's going to happen.
