AB 9.5 AL 15hp vs AB 10 AL 20hp

We are going back and forth between these two setups. We are a family of 5. I weigh 210, my wife 130, and kids 140, 60 and 50. We will be storing the AB on deck via a halyard hoist and the outboard on the stern rail. Wondering how these will perform MOST of the time for our needs re: speed/plane vs weight/expense. The 15hp and 20hp weight the same. Most of the time it's simply to get to shore. But we do enjoy crabbing, and or course, sometimes fast is fun. Cost difference between setups is about $750.
