Dingy wheels

Seeking reviews/recommendations on dingy wheels, for those of you who have them (i.e., wheels that mount on the transom of an inflatable dingy and flip down for schlepping it up a beach or ramp).

We purchased a set of plastic wheels for our dingy last season (don't recall the brand) and they both broke the first time we used them, so we're looking for something more robust this time.

There are quite a few brands on the market, but getting sold reviews from the various e-commerce sites is always dodgy.... So looking for opinions on build quality, durability, ease of use, stowing, etc. Thanks in advance!

Real happy with Danard; pricey, but work well. Ours are around 15 years old and still like new.

Made my own. They slide into the centerboard case rather than attaching to the transom.

Thanks, Jammer, that looks nice -- but as I indicated, what I'm looking for pertains to an inflatable (in my instance, an Achilles).

Re: Dingy wheels

I have had Pelican wheels on the same Achilles hard bottom inflatable for 25 years now. Never had any issues at all and I drag it around on thick pea stone every weekend in the summer. I've also been known to leave them in the down position while towing, which results in the boat filling up with water due to the big wake and windblown spray.

I heard they are out of business, but if you are interested here is a source
