Front roller on the trailer for Seaward 26rK

Hello everyone,
while pulling boat on the trailerI noticed that one of the bolts( or whatever it is) on the front roller is sticking out.
I thought it would be a simple procedure to tighten it back in however looking closer I found out that the heads of the bolts( or whatever it is) are round rather than hexagon shape. Are the suppose to be hand tight?
My question is what is inside? How it works?

Right now boatis n the trailer and these bolts are under load and there is not much I can do. But I would like to get prepared before I put boat in the water.
Thank you

Re: Front roller on the trailer for Seaward 26rK

It’s a simple washer cap push nut. Held on by friction. Just peel them off and drive the axle out which is holding your old roller. It’s best to replace all the components but the axle may be fine if still straight....just lightly sand it.
If you just release the tension on the trailers winch you should be able to get this done.

+1 for Orion Jim's response.
Here is a link to the kind of part you are looking at: Roller Shaft with Pal Nuts
That page also has a video reviewing the parts.

I have been able to work on my trailer while the boat is in place by using a floor jack and cribbing to take the load off the part I am working on.
