Harness for Outboard MERCURY 3.5 HP - 4 Strokes

Hi !
I had to change the engine of my dinghy because it had been stolen. And I have now a MERCURY 3.5 HP - 4 Strokes. And I do not succeed to find a harness for it . Its shape is quite like a ball and the one I first bought does not fit. I am looking for a new one.
Does anyone tell me where I can find one on an european website ?
Thanks.

If you're handy with three strand line and splicing you can make a very nice custom one for next to nothing.
Just sayin

Just made one for a evinrude 15hp total cost for webbing, 1 stainless ring, and 2 secure rail pieces for about $9.00

I am afraid I am not so handy ! This Mercury is really like a ball with the tap of the tank on the top...

I would prefer a ready- made one. I saw one on the dinghy of a yacht but could not ask for information because nobody was onboard.

Heres pics of mine, next one I will use black webbing, been on about 8 months now and works great. When the webbing is nearly snug, it cannot slip off, to remove it I just loosen one piece a few inches and it comes off easily for access.

West Marine sells them - good harness! I put one on my new Tahatsu 6hp - same as a Merc.

Re: Harness for Outboard MERCURY 3.5 HP - 4 Strokes

Thanks for the pic.
The fact is the New Mercury is more like a ball and , moreover, there is the tap of the tank right on the top... On my former Mercury I had no problems...

I think I have found what I was looking for in a shop in Britanny : a special one made for engines like mine.

Thanks all.
