Need help from Walker Bay 10 sailing dinghy owners

Just bought one on Cl here in Hawaii with the sail and inflatable fender.

Came with broken gooseneck clip (end of boom). Spring is missing, so the only thing keeping the boom from detaching from the mast is the vang line. Turns out that is a common problem with WBs. They sell the clip when in stock, but it looks like old clip is riveted in.

Also, the cunningham cleat (bottom of mast under bow seat) is broken, so I bought the support collar which slips on under the mast tube. Problem, don't know how to remove the mast support tube.

Of course, Walker Bay has nothing in the way of documentation/instructions on how to remove the mast support tube, remove the gooseneck clip, or how to rig the vang line. Looked all over on line and the parts supplier said check WB website which just refers me back to walkerbay.com

Can anyone help?

Thankd

Is the boom ‘clip’ similar to the one in the picture below? If so, I don’t know about WBs directly, but it would seem very similar to any whisker / spinnaker pole end fitting, you may find a replacement that fits from any pole manufacturer — selden, forespar, etc. (in my experience, these ‘clips’ are normally riveted and/or epoxied to the spar)

Yes, that's what it looks like.

WB sells the clip separately. They don't tell you how to remove the old clip then install the replacement at the end of the boom.

Thanks

Can you post a photo of your end fitting? Perhaps it’s just a matter of drilling through the rivets and removing the end.

If it's epoxied into the end, just heat up real good & epoxy will soften so you can pull & twist it out.
Be sure to wear heavy gloves!!

Here is a link to the gooseneck clip end. It has a crude diagram of the boom and clip.
