Replacing Walker Bay oarlock

We have a Superlight 310 SLRH

One of the oarlock inserts came out of the mount on the tube.
I ordered a new one but cannot figure out how to install it.

Attached photo is the new insert/oarlock

Re: Replacing Walker Bay oarlock

My oarlock came loose also. I ordered a replacement lock, spring and two pins. I only received one pin as you have in your photo. I contacted the supplier "Inflatableboatparts.com" and they sent me the 2nd pin.

I inserted the spring, and then a pin on each side, compressed ...

Reach out to me if you need additional info....

Thanks. Fortunately I still have 1 of the old pins so I can try what you did. Did you have something to slip alongside the lock to hold the pins?

I may have used a small screwdriver to hold the pin back while setting the oarlock down, but I was easy. Pull up on it to see if the pin fell into place.

Re: Replacing Walker Bay oarlock

Use a credit card to slide the assembly back together-or a putty knife.
Here's a dollar saved when it happens again...and it will.

Ace & True value sell a variety of springs that can be purchased 2 at-a-time. Cut a wood dowel to the size of the plastic one that Walker Bay provides. you have solved your problem for about 2 bucks. Bob
